3 the fairy tale rumpelstiltskin: whenever i heard this story as a child, i’d suffer a recurring nightmare that night – that i was sleeping in a matchbox, my feet were sticking out, and the little man was after me. i have avoided that story for upwards of 35 years, now!

31 FLAVOURS OF AUGUST
4/31
treat: cinnamon scone from coffee culture
…with lisa!
price: $1.79 -> but lisa treated!
rating: *** (three stars)
tasting notes: this scone was FRESH! scones can be dry if stale, but this one was light and moist. i loved the cinnamon + brown sugar swirling through the scone, and also glazed on the top. it exceeded my hopes!

Comments
I always thought Rumpelstiltskin was really creepy too! I had it in audio book form when I was a kid and could never fall asleep to it like I was supposed to!
I need fresh air every day too, no matter what!
What a fun post!
…now if i could only have your sd fresh air every day…(sigh!) although nothing beats the aruba breeze, right?!
Love, Love, Love scones, especially cinnamon ones. The Starbucks in the Barnes & Noble here makes them. When I am in the store and there is a pan of them baking it’s all I can do to not jump over the counter and grab one the minute they come out. Holy yum!!!!
Yum!!! I can practically smell the baking scones from here!
they sure know how to keep you IN the store, eh!
That is some pic of Britney Spears you have there Cathy!
3 things that scare me: spiders, sharks, falling
