november is seriously my least favourite month of the entire year. yes, dad, i know your bday is on the 26th when you will be SEVENTY-ONE YEARS OLD!!! and that is indeed a happy blip within the next thirty days but otherwise, november is just a DOWNER! i also dislike march, but march is in only SECOND baddest place because we know that when march is done, SPRING is arriving! when november is done?? at least THREE FULL months of winter await!! (although i do enjoy december because of xmas hoopla).
it’s been ages since we’ve featured a month-long project on the blog, so let’s set one up for this month [last november, the thankfulness challenge was a good thing for my spirits].
november 2012 will see…the photo of the day project. i anticipate posting a snapshot of a person/place/thing that strikes my fancy, each day. i envision short ‘n’ sweet blog entries that i’ll put up anywhere from early morning to just-before-bedtime. it’ll be a mix of instagram, twitter and facebook!

the glass fish
my biggest accomplishment yesterday was that i took the dinosaur computer that had been housed on this desk into the region’s recycling depot. ah! since ol’ dino had not been turned on, even, in well over a year, it was time to dispatch of this ancient technology. [can i tell you that i was mighty proud of figuring out how to delete all the files, disconnect the wires, get the thing down to my rav...all my byself!].
in its place, i have placed the orange fish on the glass desk. this is one of the items that i took from grandma’s apartment as a memento. it’s 70s kitsch, it’s my favourite colour, it makes me giggle in its ugliness uniqueness. i think the glass desk shows it off well!
