Meg’s Got a Husband!

At Christmas-time, Meg moved in to the condo casa:

She loves living here, and we spend time together pretty much daily.

The other day, on my daily walk, I passed Bon Mot, the site of Meg’s previous home.

I paused mid-step as my eye was caught by…

a potential meg-mate!!

I came home and told Meg about my chance encounter. She was pretty happy.

So I went in to Bon Mot and made a purchase.

oh tempt me more! but do i really want a kittie in the condo?!

[Sidenote: originally, when I decided to build a collection of eclectic dishes this year – see item #4 here – , I wanted no repeats of make or model; but “Beardie Man,” as the owner told me his name is, just has to be in the mix. It just feels right!]

So, may I present…

the happy couple!

Any suggestions for a *better* name for Beardie Man?! He looks like a lumberjack to me – what do you think?!

And do Meg and Beardie Man need/want a kittie???!

Cool! I’m not sure about Laird for his name! That was one of my characters’ names for a very good looking (i.e. HOT) guy in one of my many stories I wrote in high school! Too funny if you name your plate Laird! Only the name Rupert came to mind as he reminded Jeff and I of a Survivor series character!
Gotta get the kitty plate! LOVE IT! 🙂

Love the plates! I’m totally up for crazy plates (and actually most of mine do not match…I bought them all randomly).

    Names……..hmmmmm…….Barry? Jorge?

You’ll know the right one when you think of it!

thanks for the name suggestions, lisa! love the “jorge” esp! would love to see your plate collection! my mom also has a random collection, quite extensive from various tourist spots visited over the past 50+ years!

Maybe beardie man could be called “Laird”…that sounds like a burly man name to me.

You can probably tell I’m pro-kitty cat! I think it’s nice for your platey couple to have a platey pet!

now you, zo, could quite possibly be brilliant! 🙂 i am QUITE liking the sound of laird…i definitely got a scandinavian/norwegian vibe from him…although i couldn’t think of anything…the best i came up with was jake or jack.. i’ll ponder laird overnight, but that could be a winner! and yes, *sigh,” how can i leave kittie all alone at the store… 🙂

The man with the beard looks like my late husband. He was a long haul truck driver. In fact, I learned to drive a big rig just so I could go on the road with him for a couple of years. It was an experience. Now, the kitty plate – I’d have to have it immediately. I’m a cat lover.

Wow! That’s a neat life story, johanna! I bet you have some travel tales about being on the road!
I am not a cat person, hence the debate on getting the kittie plate…!
