cereal sale + a free tshirt!

two weeks ago, when i was down at the brother and sil ana’s, i noticed something that made me very happy (of course, seeing the nieces makes me happiest, but this sight was a close second): on their box of shreddies, there was a banner advertising a free tshirt offer.

at first glance, it looked like you could send away for a free tee just by accessing the promo code inside your box of specially marked shreddies (as well as other POST brand cereals). however, sil ana and i read the fine print and realized that you actually needed two promo codes for the free shirt (you gotta be a sleuth with these contests, sometimes).

i became a woman on a mission!

show me the moneeeeyyy!!! cereal!!!!!

i scoured my usual grocery shopping haunts to no avail.

but then came my lucky day! shoppers had cereal on sale last week, many types, $2.49 per box.

recently, i’ve become addicted to come to love honey bunches of oats thanks to trying them at mom and dad’s. i was debating the “almond” vs the “honey” flavours, decided to go with “almond,” reached wayyyy back for the box (it was on the bottom shelf so i couldn’t see the remaining selection)…and there was the FREE TSHIRT banner on the top of the cardboard! you bet that i grabbed two boxes as quick as i could.

mine, all mine!

so how’s THAT for a deal? cereal @ $2.49 a box (regularly it’s about $5.49 – $5.99) AND i am getting a free tshirt.

i selected the BLACK colour...i really think i should also get the BLUE and WHITE options, yes? collect all three??

because you know, i think i am running low on tshirts…

I think you need more t-shirts about as much as I need more magazine subscriptions – but go for it girl. Free is good. I always send away for free stuff. I love getting packages in the mail. In fact opening packages is one of my all-time favorite things.
