whenever i go for a walk through waterloo park (which is quite often, i love waterloo park), i follow the same routes. over the years, i’ve devised 30, 45, 60 minute walkabouts – i pick my paths based on how much time i have, how much walkin
g and thinking and observing and sightseeing i want to do.
this past weekend, i got inspired to go around a favourite loop backwards! i came around a corner and poof, there was the view that you see in today’s photo. i almost stopped still in my tracks, struck by the beauty of the scene. what a different perspective on the same-old terrain! when i took the picture this morning, i was glad that today is a grey, november day – the lighting was perfect for attempting-to-be-artistic photography.
please permit a little sisterly bragging!…the brother was interviewed and featured on cbc’s the national last night (peter mansbridge introduced the story!) and also was quoted extensively in an in-depth article on the globe and mail website yesterday. the brother’s field of expertise is a hot topic right now, esp with hurricane sandy in the news. it has been quite exciting to see the brother share his research via national media!
