a cheater’s photo of the day

since last eve was much more fun than anything i have done yet this morning, today’s photo is courtesy of the women’s hockey game at the rec complex last night…

photo of the day: monday (sunday?) november 19/18th:

i wanted the rink in the background…but the photo was all dark, shooting in that direction! dad and me before the game.

wlu was playing u of w. i had to cheer for u of w even though they were the visiting team because that is the uni from which i graduated. sadly, wlu soundly outplayed u of w. we stayed til the end of the second period, and laurier was up 4-zip at that point. i see that the final score was 5-0, so we did not miss much by leaving when we did!

photos – just to prove we really were at the game!

symmetry at the face off!

that’s some special zamboni! (but wouldn’t it fit in better over at the aud where the rangers play?!)

eesh – 3-0 for wlu, at this point…it’s not looking good for u of w!

dad and i agree that we should go to these games more often AND we should check out the men’s uni teams, too. who needs the nhl for a little hockey excitement?

which team sport have you attended the most games IN PERSON? i’d say hockey. and that includes one toronto maple leafs game!

I’m not really a hockey fan, but I enjoy watching little Mikey play. It makes me nervous for fear he’ll get hurt, but he really seems to like it!! Glad you enjoyed the game, Cathy!

i understand, fran…even with all that equipment, hockey can be a little risky! glad you get to see mikey play – that is fun!

Funny, I’ve probably been to 7 or so women’s hockey games over the years..a friend of mine likes a team that plays Princeton, so he’ll come when they play. 5 points is a lot! Otherwise, I’ve probably been to more baseball games in my lifetime..but honestly, the hockey might beat it!
It’s great that you had such a fun outing with your Dad!

that’s pretty cool that you’ve been to a few womens’ games, zo! up here, the mens’ games definitely attract more fans. i love seeing goals, so was glad that we got to see a few. and it was fun to “analyze” the game with dad!

ah, women’s hockey, I do believe that if my daughter had lived she would have played. When she was a kid she always played on the pond with friends and her future husband. I love my hat fromt he Hockey Hall of Fame that says….Hockey, invented by men …perfected by women. Girl Power!
